Kenmore Church
The church at Kenmore, an unusual but attractive building.
Knoydart
The hills of Knoydart seen from Ballachulish. The Ballachulish Bridge can just be seen near the centre of the picture.
The Kyles of Bute
These are the straits which separate the island of Bute from the Cowal Peninsula and the rest of the Scottish mainland.
Kylesku Bridge
This bridge replaced the ferry which years ago was the main means of accessing the area north of Assynt.
Loch Lomond
A view of the southern part of Loch Lomond, looking northeast. The West Highland Way runs along the opposite shore.
New Lanark
This extremely interesting site is most famous for its connection with Robert Owen, its one-time owner and a man years ahead of his time.
Oban
A busy ferry port and gateway to the southern Hebrides.
Otter Ferry
This is the view from Otter Ferry, looking southwest towards the northern part of the Kintyre peninsula. In common with some other places in Scotland with the word " ferry" in their names, there is no longer a ferry!
Rest and be thankful
This pass, named because of the difficulty travellers used to face in crossing it, is no longer such a challenge with modern vehicles and roads. It is still a lovely spot, though.
PS Waverley
The Waverley is the world's last sea-going paddle steamer, and still hosts excursions around Britain every year. She is captured here on the Clyde with Dunoon in the background.
Edinburgh Old Town
A fascinating mixture of old buildings and a maze of narrow passageways on the hill leading up to Edinburgh Castle.
The Burrell Collection
The Burrell Collection is a huge number of artworks housed in a beautiful building set in acres of parkland. A "must see" when you are in Glasgow!
