This is the view from Otter Ferry, looking southwest towards the northern part of the Kintyre peninsula. In common with some other places in Scotland with the word " ferry" in their names, there is no longer a ferry! -
Rest and be thankful
This pass, named because of the difficulty travellers used to face in crossing it, is no longer such a challenge with modern vehicles and roads. It is still a lovely spot, though. -
PS Waverley
The Waverley is the world's last sea-going paddle steamer, and still hosts excursions around Britain every year. She is captured here on the Clyde with Dunoon in the background. -
